Today i was sitting infront of my television and i saw that there is a cartoon made on Akbar and Birbal. It was quite interesting to watch it. there are many movies and serials also going on him but this cartoon was too good. I liked the cartoon more because they don't waste time in music and drama and showing the unnecessary expressions with dialogues repeated ten times and gong banging behind. Its too boring. Cartoon is too good and the stories are also very interesting and educative. Akbar in the cartoon is made so cute and sometimes he asks such out of the way things that are sometimes very simple, sometimes totally stupid and then one is very surprised to think that what great luck and what brains he must be having to rule and make such a large empire. He was the third and one of the greatest rulers in the Mughal Dynasty. Akbar ascended the throne at the tender age of 13 years .He spent his youth learning to hunt, run, and fight, which made him a daring, powerful and a brave warrior, but he never learned to read or write. This, however, did not hinder his search for knowledge as it is said always when he retired in the evening he would have someone read. His urge to know and learn more and more every passing day is known very well. i think, he was very shrewd and a political person because the way he allowed anyone to practice any religion gave people the confidence and love for him. people inspite of hating him , started loving. He did not force India’s majority Hindu population to convert to Islam; he accommodated them instead, abolishing the poll tax on non-Muslims, translating Hindu literature and participating in Hindu festivals.

In that cartoon , if they start showing about the way he use to keep his queens and deal with them, about his Nine Jewels, the "Navratnas" , and the way he use to take his day in the court the children will know more good about him, rather than he as a joker who cannot even answer a simple question without the help of Birbal  . The cartoon is very interesting and in this way children at a very young age know who he is, but he should not be shown in a comedian way. He was very intelligent, but the children or who so ever watches the cartoon, will think him to be a person with no brains at all. And all and everything seems to be run behind by Birbal. Birbal is shown to be the most intelligent (which he was no doubt),but Akbar was equally intelligent to keep him in his Nine Jewels.

I am very impressed by the way he penetrated into the hearts of Hindus by marrying their daughters and appointing them to high posts. This all should be weaved in a story like all other stories in the cartoon. In this way his glory will be known in a better way.
